The Kerr Story,
Patrick and Kevin Kerr,
by Kevin Kerr

Amerifutures is headed up by my good friend Patrick Kerr (no relation) and his team who bring more than 20 years of commodity trading and brokerage experience. Commodity futures trader and broker, Patrick Kerr is a graduate of Cornell University. He is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch , The Business Times and WSJ Market Beat Column on crude oil and other related commodity markets. He was recently a guest on Greg Knapp's National Radio Show to discuss oil trading. He is also co-founder of Ptrades(also known as the Fantasy Futures Exchange) a free commodity futures education and paper trading (practice trading) website and popular facebook application.
Now I will tell you an interesting Black Swan type Tale. Patrick and I have been friends for a few years now and as I said we are not related in any way, yet we have the same last name. Even more ironic is the story I will tell you now. Patrick and I actually grew up in the same hometown, Edina Minnesota, that’s right, small world isn’t it? Even more unbelievable is that we are only a year or so apart in age, were in the same school system, our fathers even knew each other, yet he and I never met or knew of each other until a few years ago. Truth is stranger than fiction. Anyway, I have to tell you that in the time I have known Patrick and his partner Tony at Amerifutures I have been extremely impressed. Maybe it’s the personal approach or Midwestern clarity that I like and can relate to but more than that it’s the level of service and knowledge. Patrick and his team are based on the West Coast and are in early and stay very late to service clients all over the World. You can reach Patrick directly at kerr@amerifutures.com or by simply calling 888-306-5252 x 1004.

The risk of loss in trading futures and options can be substantial. Futures and options trading may not be suitable for everyone. Therefore, you should carefully consider the risks in light of your financial condition in deciding whether to trade. You may sustain a total loss of the initial margin funds and additional funds that you deposit with your brokers to establish or maintain a position in the commodity futures market.
